When a worldview is this foundational, it isn’t just a set of beliefs; it forms the very fabric that makes up community life.
The heart of the struggle
Langham Scholar Mem highlights the delicate reality local believers face. In a Buddhist-majority country, being a Christian means living as a distinct minority. Thai churches face a unique and ongoing challenge: how to balance their Thai culture with Christian teachings. Some blend cultural and religious traditions too deeply, while others react by rejecting their cultural identity altogether.
As Mem explains, there is an urgent need for trained leaders and teachers. People with the theological depth to anchor their faith while remaining rooted in their culture.
