Meet Namos and Jane

Namos and Jane, are a couple who are completing their Bachelor of Theology this year. Through student sponsorship, they have the opportunity to be better equipped for ministry at our partner school, Christian Leaders Training College (CLTC) in Papua New Guinea.

Namos and Jane, graduating this year with a Bachelor of Theology, are a testament to the transformative impact of sponsorship. Thanks to the generous support of New Zealand sponsors, they have been able to complete their studies at CLTC and pursue their calling in ministry.

Jane is from West Papua and Namos is from Lae City.  They are a dedicated couple with four children aged 5 to 15.

A Life Transformed for God

When Namos finished high school, his father’s sudden death left him unable to afford tertiary education. He lost his way and became caught up in petty crime and drug addiction. Yet God had not forgotten Namos’ earlier commitment to Christ, and a powerful evangelistic meeting turned his life around. Responding to God’s call, Namos was transformed, and within a year became an active evangelist.

Jane and her family moved to Vanimo in PNG where they met and married.  They shared a heart to disciple youth and served together for eight years, leading youth ministries in three congregations. Namos also coordinated youth activities across two districts and assisted the senior pastor.

Becoming Equipped for Ministry at CLTC

Attending CLTC to deepen their training was a long-held dream—and one that became possible only through the generosity of sponsors.  Since coming to CLTC, Namos and Jane have embraced every opportunity to grow in their studies and continue their ministry. On campus, they have been actively involved in organising youth activities, and providing pastoral care for young people. Their dedication has been recognised, and after graduation, they have been invited to join the CLTC Lae campus. There, they will support the dean, mentor students, and organise Bible studies in local churches.

Reflecting on their journey, Namos says, “CLTC has truly transformed us, providing godly wisdom and equipping us for a Christ-centred, holistic ministry.” Namos is motivated to help train ministry leaders in preaching, teaching, and youth ministry.  They also have an interest in supporting missions work in West Papua.

Namos and Jane are deeply grateful for the support they’ve received. Jane expresses their thanks: “We would like to deeply thank everyone who stood with us in financial support and prayers. May our great God richly bless you and supply you all with His ongoing sustaining grace.”
